Festival time

Anything interesting happen?

I woke up today after only a few hours of bad quality sleep (I am camping at a festival in the UK at the moment) and the first thing on my mind is how am I going to be able to get through a WOD?! Bloody hell.

Alexander has given me a few ‘Away WODs’ so I didn’t have to miss a workout. I picked one that looked manageable and after some coconut water and fruit, headed to a spot that wasn’t too busy, with some mates, and started the workout.

It was way harder than I had expected (they always are) and it took me over 16 minutes to complete it. I got a few words of encouragement from festival-goers, which was nice. I’m sure it looked quite strange – a 35 year old woman standing on a hill, smashing out burpees and V-situps, and looking like death!

My muscles were feeling like jelly for most of the rest of the day. I haven’t done sit ups in any of the workout recently so my abs already started to hurt by the early afternoon.

How are you feeling?

I’m feeling wrecked. Going to a festival and keeping up an intense training regime are two things that dont go together well! But, I was happy that I got through it.
