My Raw Rules

Im finding conflicting information on what you can and can’t eat on a raw food diet. I have outlined below what I will and won’t eat for the next 28 days.

Can eat

  • Any fresh fruit
  • Any vegetables
  • Nuts – not roasted
  • Seeds
  • Oils – extra virgin cold pressed, walnut oil, coconut oil etc
  • Dried fruit
  • Almond milk – as much as possible will try to make this myself
  • Coconut water
  • Sprouted lentils
  • Fresh herbs
  • Raw fish
  • Raw meat
  • Anything heated less than 40 degrees celsius
  • Sun-dried tomatoes
  • Olives
  • Nutritional yeast
  • Tamari
  • Warm water with lemon – its the middle of winter in Europe at the moment….I’m giving myself at least this!

 Wont eat

  • Cooked food – anything cooked, roasted, boiled, steamed above 40 degrees
  • Processed food
  • Alcohol (except wine – will try to ensure this is as preservative free / biological as possible)
  • Tea / coffee
  • Vitamins (I sometimes take a B supplement but won’t during this experiment)

Medication (that I will use)

  • Contraceptive pill
  • Over the counter pain killers
  • Migraine specific pain killers (if required)
